What is LabResults?
LabResults is a powerful yet easy-to-use messaging system designed specifically for the delivery of medical test results.


What is required to use LabResults?
All you need to use LabResults is a touch-tone phone and/or the ability to access the Internet. There is no hardware or software to buy and no extra phone lines are needed. You simply access the LabResults system via telephone or the Internet to add messages as test results are available, and the rest is fully automated.


How difficult is LabResults to use for my patients?
When your patient visits the office for a medical test result, the patient is given a card with your dedicated LabResults toll-free number. When the test results are expected, the patient calls the toll-free number and enters his or her 9-digit social security number. They can review the message as desired and then confirm delivery.


How difficult is LabResults to use for my staff?
Your staff can add LabResults messages in as little as 10 seconds using our online tools. The pre-recorded message options allow you to record routine messages and assign those messages to patients again and again without ever having to record the message more than once. For patients that require personal messages, adding and recording a message takes about 20 to 30 seconds per patient in most cases, with intuitive menu prompting.


Does LabResults call the patients to deliver messages?
Yes, if you want LabResults to call your patients when their test results messages are ready, you simply check the "Call to Deliver" option when adding the message and provide a home or cell telephone number for delivery. If the patient answers, they must provide their social security number to retrieve the message. If someone other than the patient answers, the system will simply ask that the answering party inform the patient that the results are ready and to please call the LabResults system at their convenience.


How long does the patient have to retrieve the message?
LabResults messages are available for 60 days from the date they are created. However, for HIPAA and liability reasons, we store all messages forever. If for any reason you ever need to retrieve a message we can accommodate your request.


How much does LabResults cost?
Set up is typically $49 per clinic. Monthly service is based on usage, with plans starting at $49 per month. A typical LabResults message will cost 10 to 30 cents per patient. For more cost details and rates, please use the LabResults Cost Calculator


Does the toll-free number cost extra?
No. The usage fees for LabResults are all-inclusive. We provide a private, dedicated toll-free number for your exclusive use as part of the service. There is no additional charge for the toll free number nor are there any separate charges for long distance. The per-minute usage rates for LabResults include everything. Do I have to install any phone lines?
No. The LabResults service uses our phone lines and our hardware. Although we will assign an exclusive toll-free number to your clinic or hospital, all calls to the number are handled by our servers. There is nothing to buy, and no local equipment or phone lines will be used. An extra benefit of using LabResults is that no office phone lines and no staff resources will be tied up with patients seeking their test results.
